The girls’ basketball team defeated Hodgson 44-25 Wednesday night to advance to the semifinals of the state tournament. They will play St. Elizabeth Friday night at the Bob Carpenter Center.
The boys' basketball team will take on Sussex Central at Dover High School Thursday night in the quarterfinals of their state tournament after defeating Smyrna on Tuesday night.

Congratulations to the varsity boys' basketball, girls' basketball and wrestling teams for capturing their respective Delaware Independent School Conference championships. It was the first DISC championship in the wrestling team's history. Sanford's Upper School Service Club will sponsor its annual Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, February 9th, from 5:30-8 p.m., in Quigley Dining Hall. Donations are $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Chinese Orphans Assistance Team, Habitat for Humanity, and other Service Club projects.
