Congratulations to Project Beyond & The Arbiter II

Sanford’s Upper School science and engineering club, Project Beyond, recently placed first in the Youth 11-17 Trebuchet division of the 22nd Annual World Championship Punkin Chunkin competition in Bridgeville, DE. The trebuchet, The Arbiter II, hurled a pumpkin more than 690 feet in the competition.

Sanford School Supports Power Up Gambia

Sanford has joined Power Up Gambia for Schools, a philanthropic project designed to highlight the topics of renewable energies, African culture, and philanthropy during the 2007-’08 school year. The initiative is part of an effort to provide solar panels to a hospital in the Gambia. For more information about Power Up Gambia, click here.
