The Sanford Service Club Spaghetti Dinner is Tomorrow Night

The Sanford Service Club will host its annual Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, February 8, from 5:30-8 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Service Club projects including Habitat for Humanity and Power Up Gambia. Evita Tickets Available in Early February

Tickets for the SRTC production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita will go on sale beginning February 4th at 9 a.m. for cast and crew families and February 6th at 9 a.m. for the public. The production runs Friday, February 29th through Sunday, March 2nd. All seating is reserved. The ticket price is $10.

Sanford Student Wins Journalism Contest

Senior Sean Ryon has been selected as an Al Neuharth Free Spirit Scholarship and Conference Program winner. As a recipient of this award, Sean will receive a $1,000 college scholarship and attend an all-expenses-paid conference where he will be part of an audience of media leaders, diplomats, and other distinguished guests. According to the Freedom Forum, Sean was one of the 102 top journalism students chosen to represent all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Thank You for Supporting Our School-wide Community Service Day

This past Monday, the Sanford community dedicated their Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to supporting community service work at more than 20 locations in the area. Some of the organizations that received our help included the Food Bank of Delaware, Canine Partners for Life, and the Latin American Community Center. Sanford Congratulates Basketball Player Jasmine Gibson

During yesterday’s girls’ varsity basketball game against Wilmington Friends School, Sanford senior Jasmine Gibson scored her one-thousandth point. A few months ago, Jazz signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Delaware where she will play basketball for the Fightin’ Blue Hens. Congratulations to this outstanding student-athlete.

Sanford Families: Remember that Monday is MLK Community Service Day

The Sanford community will observe and celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 21st. The day will be dedicated to a variety of service projects which will benefit many people and organizations in our communities. Sanford to Honor Martin Luther King, Jr. with Day of Service

On Monday, January 21, Sanford students, faculty, administrators, and staff members will observe and celebrate the life and service of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with the third annual Day of Service. Activities will include an all-school assembly, community-service work, and education about Dr. King's focus on tolerance, non-violence, and service.
