It saddens us to report that Thelma Miller passed away on March 19 after battling cancer and pneumonia. A much-loved Sanford administrative assistant for 36 years (1966-2002), Thelma touched the lives of hundreds of students, faculty, parents and alumni during her long tenure. Her last post at the school was Administrative Assistant to the Head of Upper School. In retirement, she stayed in close contact with Sanford through her love of the girls’ and boys’ basketball teams. A celebration of her life will be carried out on March 26. Please check the News Journal for details.
