Middle School students win awards for poetry

The work of five Sanford Middle School students has been selected for inclusion in the upcoming edition of Poetry for Young People, a Creative Communications anthology. The award winning poets are: Emma Heberton for “Dawn,” Paige Hublein for “Ten Little Puppies,” Delaney Leonard for “Gold,” Rachel Rosa for “Stranded,” and Liam Walsh for “Rainy Day.” Congratulations to these fine students.

Sanford Students Named AP Scholars

Twenty-five current and former Sanford School students have earned the designation of AP Scholar by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on college–level Advanced Placement Program (AP) Exams. Four students qualified for the National AP Scholar Award, eight qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award, five qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award, and eight qualified for the AP Scholar Award.
