Third graders meet Kentucky Derby winner

Third graders recently enjoyed a class trip to Herringswell Stables and the Fair Hill Equine Therapy Center. During their journey, students and teachers met Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom who is trained by Sanford parent Graham Motion. In addition to experiencing the thrill of meeting a world-class horse, the children learned lessons applicable to their study of the Oregon Trail. Click here to view images from this class trip. Special thanks to the Motion family for enriching our students’ education with this experience.
